Our client is a leading global professional services provider, based in Birmingham. As part of an exciting transformation program, the company and is looking for a technically strong Financial Controller to add to their impressive team.
As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments within the company.
Responsibilities Included:
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Manage the company's budgeting and forecasting process, providing regular updates to senior management
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management
- Monitor cash flow and manage the company's banking relationships
- Provide financial analysis and advice to senior management to support decision making
Skills and Attributes:
- Qualified accountant, having trained in audit with a leading accountancy firm
- Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of accounting standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across the business
- Proven track record of managing a finance team and delivering high-quality financial reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
