The Role

We are recruiting for a Marketing Insight Analyst on behalf of a leading retail organisation. This full-time, permanent position is based in Walsall and offers a competitive salary with an excellent benefits package.

As a Marketing Insight Analyst, you will play a key role in providing actionable insights into customer behaviours, market trends, and marketing strategies. Your expertise will directly support data-driven decision-making and influence the organisation's future direction.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver impactful insights to drive data-based decision-making across marketing and business strategies.
  • Analyse and identify trends, risks, and opportunities using various data sources to inform key marketing initiatives.
  • Embed customer insights into category development, pricing strategies, and promotional planning.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure alignment and effective communication of insights to support marketing activities.
  • Support category reviews and contribute to marketing strategies with actionable data.
  • Provide continuous insights to enhance marketing campaigns and customer communications.
  • Lead specific insight projects, including primary research and data analytics, to deliver business impact.
  • Develop tools and processes to improve access to insights across departments.
  • Present data insights in a clear and engaging way, providing actionable recommendations for stakeholders.

Candidate Criteria

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into meaningful insights.
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a commercially focused approach.
  • Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Positive, proactive mindset with a passion for delivering customer-focused results.
  • Degree or equivalent qualifications, with relevant experience in marketing, retail, or FMCG sectors.
  • Familiarity with data tools and sources such as Nielsen, Kantar, EPOS, and web analytics.
