About the Company
Our client is a well-established leader in the skincare industry, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality, innovative skin and body care products. They are looking for a National Account Manager to join their team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. This role offers the opportunity to manage one of their key retail accounts within the Grocery channel, helping drive commercial success and enhance brand presence in the market.

Role Overview
As the National Account Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a major retail account, ensuring that performance targets are met or exceeded. This involves developing and implementing account strategies, optimizing distribution channels, planning effective promotions, and ensuring strong presence at points of sale (POS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute customer investment and sales strategies to meet short- and long-term objectives.
  • Create and manage annual and long-term plans to achieve brand, category, and customer targets.
  • Oversee the customer portfolio, focusing on distribution, promotions, and POS presence to stay competitive and achieve market share objectives.
  • Manage the brand portfolio and sales mix at the customer level to meet targets for market share, sales, margins, and customer contribution.
  • Implement customer list pricing and promotional plans, and assess promotional activities for effectiveness.
  • Monitor delivery against annual objectives for product distribution and display at POS.
  • Achieve customer Net Pricing targets to maximize return on investment and margin delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
  • Ensure accurate delivery of monthly and quarterly business forecasts.

Your Profile

  • Experience in an Account Manager, Sales Manager, or Business Development role within an FMCG environment.
  • Strong skills in relationship-building with both external customers and internal teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to solve complex problems.
  • Skilled in conflict management and comfortable navigating challenges at all levels of the business.
  • Proficiency in selling, negotiation, and commercial skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset and data-driven approach.
